Thirty Seconds To Mars - "Up In The Air"

The band that found success after the '90's by mixing post-grunge, screamo, and hard rock is finally back.  And wants everyone to know.  They recently dropped this guy, which is eight and a half minutes long and probably the most intricately planned out music video I've seen to date.  In fact, they're not even calling it a music video.  It's classified as a 'short film,' and rightly so.  It features Damien Hirst, Dita Von Teese, McKayla Maroney and Jordyn Wieber (two U.S. Olympic gymnasts).  Jared Leto, frontman of the band and director of the film, calls it "an epic, bizzarre and hallucinogenic journey through an incredibly surreal landscape."  The amount of money that went behind this?  I couldn't find a number, but it's got to be millions.  Clearly Thirty Seconds To Mars (as well as Virgin Records) want some major recognition for for their new album, Love, Lust, Faith + Dreams, out May 21st.
